It’s Monday, August 21, 2017, and we have just survived a solar eclipse! Here, we were at almost ninety nine percent but I understand some of our neighbors were at a full one hundred percent. Wow.
I have learned so much from this experience and with global climate change at an all time high, we can expect even more of these, so it doesn’t hurt to be prepared.
- When buying eclipse glasses, spend the extra money and avoid the cheap knock offs. A good pair can run around one dollar.
- First thing is, don’t forget to hydrate. These things can last a couple of minutes and its pretty hard to find your water in the dark.
- Pack yourself enough food to get you through this event. Airline peanuts should work fine.
- If you drink alcohol, be sure to have your shot ready. I don’t recommend champagne, due to the extended prep time.
I hope this has been helpful and please, we all have our stories, so feel free to share your personal experience in the comment section.
